Playlist Organizer ("we", "our", or "the extension") is a Chrome browser extension that connects to your YouTube account to help you manage and organize your playlists. This policy explains what data is accessed, how it is used, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

We do not collect personal data on any server. All information is stored exclusively in your browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local) and is never transmitted to us or any third party (except as described in section 3 and 5 below).

2. What Is Stored Locally

• Your extension preferences (theme, language, layout options)
• Trial start date (to calculate remaining trial days)
• Premium license key and activation status (to validate your purchase)
• Cached playlist and video data (to speed up loading between sessions)

None of this information is shared with or accessible by us.

3. YouTube Data API

Playlist Organizer uses the YouTube Data API v3 to read and modify your YouTube playlists on your behalf. This requires you to sign in with your Google account via OAuth 2.0.

• We request the youtube scope, which allows reading and modifying your playlists and playlist items
• This data is used exclusively within the extension to display, move, merge, and organize your playlists
• Your YouTube data is processed entirely within your browser — it is never sent to our servers
• You can revoke access at any time from your Google account permissions page

Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4. Analytics & Tracking

Playlist Organizer does not use any analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, or behavioral tracking of any kind. We have no visibility into how you use the extension or which playlists you have.

5. Premium License (Lemon Squeezy)

If you purchase a Premium license, the transaction is processed by Lemon Squeezy. We receive a license key to activate your account locally. We do not receive or store your payment details. When you activate a license key, the extension contacts the Lemon Squeezy API solely to validate the key — no YouTube data is shared in this request.

6. Permissions Used

Playlist Organizer requests the following Chrome permissions:

• identity — to authenticate you with your Google account via OAuth and obtain a YouTube API token
• storage — to save your preferences, trial status, and cached data locally on your device
• tabs / windows — to detect the currently open YouTube video and enable the pin window feature
• scripting — to inject a small content script on YouTube pages that detects the currently playing video (so you can add it to a playlist)
• host permissions (googleapis.com, youtube.com) — to communicate with the YouTube Data API and read the current video on YouTube pages

None of these permissions are used to collect or transmit your personal data.

7. Children's Privacy

Playlist Organizer is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the extension constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
